My oldest known ancestor is James M. Butler born 1813 in Georgia and died between 1891 and 1900 in Decatur Co. TN. We think his father is Christopher Columbus Butler of Coosa Co. AL who is the grandson of Zachariah Butler of Virginia, but we have not been able to find any definite proof of this. The 12 marker match gives us further reason to continue oursearch for the definite connection.
I am descended from James M. Butler and Sarah Crawford, his first wife.
