I am the son of Henry Oliver Butler>Albert Benjamin Butler> John David Butler>Clark Butler>Whitaker Butler (Whit 1). The family came from Georgia to the Randolph/Cleburne County, Alabama area before scattering to the four winds (or maybe afterwards). No one seems to be able to verify info on Whit because he was orphaned at a young age and raised by a Brooks family, possibly in Hall County, GA. Most records show him born in 1800.
