Earliest known ancestor: John Butler
Born about 1763 most likely somewhere in New England, possibly CT according to family tradition, but unproven. He lived in Scipio, Cayuga Co. NY in 1794 and moved to Perry, Geauga Co. OH in 1816. He died there in 1828.
