The earliest ancestor is Wlliam H. Butler, my great grand father,born in 1841, possibly in Lincolnshire , England. Oral history has him arriving in Canada when he was around six years of age. He was a farmer and his farm was listed in an Ontario Land Atlas of 1878, located in Ekfrid Township, Middlesex County, Province of Ontario. He had three boys(William H., Charles, and John) and two girls (I'm searching for their names). Family history suggests that a fourth son, Angus, died in his teens in a horsing accident. His son John Franklin Butler was my grandfather. John was born in 1878. John had a farm in an adjacent county, Elgin, and later moved to London, Ontario in the 1930's. He was a stationary engineer and worked for the Canadian National Railway in London.
